Islanders Host a MARVELous Superhero Day

          Before the Islanders took on the Florida Panthers, children at the Nassau Coliseum took part in the "Super Hero Celebration Day".  

           Children and their parents waited in lines before the game to have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with a few of the famous Marvel Superheros.  Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, Ironman, Spiderman, and Thor were the superheros who were in attendance for the game.

          The event bought in more than 14,000 fans into the coliseum to watch their beloved Islanders and meet some of their favorite heroes. 

          Throughout the game the heroes walked around the arena taking more photos while also handing out some prizes.  Spiderman even took part in the nightly T-shirt launch while riding on one of the zambonis during both intermissions.

          Unfortunately the Islanders weren't able to defeat the Panthers for the crowd, however the superheros were there to save the day once again and help keep the smiles on every one's faces.
